A truckie transporting gas cylinders has been rushed to hospital after being trapped for almost two hours when his truck rolled down an embankment.
Emergency services received reports of the incident on Wilson Dr in Hill Top around 11am Friday, before a multi-agency rescue response was launched to extract the driver from the wreckage.
The 42-year-old man was freed around 12.40pm, and was treated by paramedics for injuries to his shoulder, arms, legs, and potential internal injuries.
He was transported to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment.
A spokeswoman for NSW Rural Fire Service confirmed no gas had leaked from the household cylinders as a result of the crash, however firefighters remained on scene to ensure safety against potential fire hazards.
Road closures and detours may be in place as Wingecarribee SES and the RFS assist efforts to tow the truck back onto the road, with police remaining on scene to ensure public safety and manage traffic.
Drivers are being warned to expect delays and consider alternative routes while the incident is being resolved.
A crime scene has been established with the Hume Police District investigating the circumstances of the crash.
