According to police, Mr Moloney stabbed the man at around 8pm after illegally socialising in Moss Vale during the regional lockdown.

Emergency services were called to Parkes Road, Moss Vale at around 8.10pm after they received reports of a brawl. The court heard they found the man suffering stab wounds to the back and treated the alleged victim at the scene.

He was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition to receive urgent treatment. The 22-year-old has since been discharged from the hospital.

Detectives established a Strike Force Briwood to investigate the alleged stabbing and their inquiries culminated in Mr Moloney’s arrest at a Goulburn motel at 2.30pm on October 14.
