A now 27-year-old man has been charged with 32 alleged sexual abuse charges against a disabled child from 13 years ago.
The Grabben Gullen resident did not appear for his matter at Goulburn Local Court on Monday.
He was charged with five counts of incite aggravated indecency for a victim less than 16 with cognitive impairment, six counts of aggravated indecent assault (victim has cognitive impairment) and 21 counts of aggravated sexual intercourse for a person between 10 and 14 years.
According to the fact sheet tendered to the court, the incidents allegedly occurred in 2009 when the child was 11 and 12 years old.
Court documents allege the man, who was 15 at the time and cannot be named for legal reasons, carried out the acts for almost seven months between April 21 and November 14, 2009.
Police allege he grabbed the child’s penis to masturbate him, and allegedly forced him to have sex with him at Grabben Gullen, Crookwell and Surf Beach.
On Monday, Magistrate Geraldine Beattie told the court the man was charged on May 2, 2019 and was given “strict” bail conditions.
The matter was previously listed at Central Local Court on December 8.
His case was adjourned this week because of the court brief “not being compliant” with bail continuing.
The matter will return to Goulburn Local Court on March 16 but is expected to be heard in the district court for a hearing.
