A former bodybuilder and personal trainer has been slapped with a string of alleged drug-supply offences, totalling almost a whopping 50kg in anabolic steroids, as he fronted a Sydney court donning his old staff gym gear.
Andrei Todero, 50, of Springwood, a former bodybuilder and personal trainer previously based out of World Gym and City Gym outlets across the city, is alleged to have supplied 49.7kg in illegal anabolic steroid substances, as well as cashing in on the alleged deals.
He appeared at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday where his 30-charge list of alleged offences was laid bare by Magistrate Joy Boulos.
Across December 2021, the month he was eventually apprehended, police alleged Todero supplied a heady mix of illegal drugs, all of which are commonly used to increase and enhance performance.
In total, police allege Todero supplied: 10.8kg of trenbolone enanthate, 2.6kg of drostanolone enanthate, 3.2kg of trenbolone acetate, 4.7kg of nandrolone decanoate, 4.1kg of sustanon, 1.1kg of oxandrolone, 1kg of testosterone Propionate, 1kg of testosterone enanthate, 1.5kg of nandrolone phenylpropionate, 2kg testosterone cypionate, 10.1kg of testosterone, 5.9kg of nandrolone, 900 grams of methandienone, and 990 grams of boldenone.
Todero has been charged with 14 counts of supplying a prohibited drug over an indictable amount, three counts of drug supply of a commercial quantity, 11 counts of drug possession, and two counts of dealing with the property proceeds of crime, totalling $29,900.
He previously worked as a trainer at gym outlets across the city, including City Gym in the CBD, Camperdown Fitness in the Inner West, and multiple World Gym sites. He appeared in court wearing staff merchandise from World Gym.
It is not alleged that any of the gyms have engaged in any wrongdoing.
Todero is set to return to court on November 16 for a case conference mention.
