WILLIAM Rose School’s annual sports day — now in its 13th year — saw all 84 students from the Seven Hills school participate in activities ranging from sprints to the egg-and-spoon race.
For the past four years pupils from Pacific Hills Christian School at Dural have also joined in the fun as volunteers on the day to help William Rose students, who have special needs.
This year each student received a ribbon for their efforts in each race and the school trophy was handed to the winning Red Team.
Other events included the 10m hurdles and target ball race. Some events were held specifically for students who use wheelchairs. Teacher Genevieve Grace, who organised the day, said: “We endeavour to ensure … that all students have equal opportunities to succeed in their events. We see the abilities that our students possess and encourage them to do their best.”
