A former Sydney police officer who allegedly accessed restricted information on NSW Police systems almost a dozen times over four days has been charged with an alleged historic rape.

Luke Jeffrey O’Keeffe, 22, of Glendenning appeared at Mt Druitt Local Court on Monday charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, as well as 10 counts of accessing restricted police data.

O’Keeffe is alleged to have repeatedly accessed restricted data on NSW Police WebCOPS systems between December 8-12 while serving as a probationary constable attached to a command in the North West Metropolitan Region, court documents reveal.

On December 12, O’Keeffee allegedly accessed restricted data at 1am and again at 3.29am.

The arrest came after an investigation by police into reports of an alleged sexual assault in 2019, which was later referred to the Professional Standards Command, according to a police statement.

O’Keeffe is alleged to have had sexual intercourse without consent with another person between midday and 11pm on July 2, 2019, while at Cranebrook, police facts revealed.

Following his arrest, O’Keeffe was dismissed under the Police Act.

He will reappear before Mt Druitt Local Court on March 3.
