KEEP your eyes peeled for Tyren Burnie because the Seven Hills teenager is making a name for himself in the football world.
The 15-year-old right back for Blacktown City has impressed so much in his third season with the club that he has been selected to play for Metro West in the NSW State Titles for the first time.
Though he is focused on defence, Tyren is no slouch when it comes to attacking and says he loves trying out tricks and scoring goals.
The defender even cited Brazilian attacking wizard Neymar Jr as his biggest influence.
The young talent said he started kicking the round ball at age six and was inspired by English Premier League giants Chelsea.
After smashing it at trials, he will head to the under-15 State Titles, being played at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood, in September.
o plays for his school team at Hills Sports High School, Seven Hills, meaning he trains hard four times a week.
“I’ve done all this training for a reason and I just want to express what I can do on the pitch at the state titles,” he said. The budding star says he is aiming to play for the A-League and hopes to play for the Western Sydney Wanderers. Tyren is a nominee for the Junior Sports Star Individual award.
