Koralee Catlett is competitive by nature.
It’s why she has worked overtime in recent times to show rapid improve in her sport.
It’s why she trains 30 hours a week before and after school and it’s also why she has gone from a 28th and sixth place at a previous world championships to double gold at her latest event
The Rooty Hill High student competed for Australia at the World Age Group Competition (WAGC) for the gymnastics sport of Tumbling and Double Mini Trampoline late last year in Japan at the venue hosting the sport at the Tokyo Olympics.

She returned from the event with two world titles in her 13-14 year age group.
“Sometimes I am a little stubborn and so I just do it until I can do it,” said the student from Kachan School of Tumbling & Performance (KSTP) at South Windsor
“I’m also very competitive as well. I like to do well.”
Koralee opted to produce high degree of difficulty moves at the event which helped her secure both wins.
“I have been training high difficulty so I knew if I nailed them I would have a chance,” she said.
In her double mini tramp event she went into the final in fifth place before lifting the degree of difficulty and nailing a backflip in her final routine.
In the tumbling, Koralee entered the final in second but emerged with the win, with her high degree of difficulty scoring her a second gold medal and World Age Champion title.
Koralee’s teammates also performed strongly with Breanah Cauchi from Penrith finished third, Tamia Fonua from Erskine Park fourth and Hayley Sepping from St Clair fifth.
