Shoppers can look forward to a new fresh food precinct at Westpoint Blacktown as the centre gets underway on its latest revamp.

The work follows Westpoint’s recent bathroom refurbishments and will involve a revamp of the level one eating areas near the Aldi-end of the centre.

Centre manager Agata Rynkiewicz said the significant refresh comprised new amenities, furniture and design features as well as the construction of a leafy courtyard for shoppers to eat, socialise and relax.

“We are pleased to share that we are commencing work on a project to enhance and revitalise the fresh food precinct at Westpoint — providing a beautiful new space for dining and socialising,” Ms Rynkiewicz said.

“This refreshed precinct will feature a redesigned look and feel, grounded in nature and inspired by the traditional textiles and design features of the many and varied cultures which make up our Westpoint community.”

Ms Rynkiewicz said fresh food retailers would not be affected during the revamp and works would be staged to minimise impacts on shoppers.

The upgrade forms part of an ongoing project to refresh amenities at Westpoint Blacktown, with the centre winning the title of Australia’s Best Bathroom for its new dazzling dunnies on level one and four earlier this year.
