The king of pyjamas is coming to Blacktown.

The popular pyjama brand Peter Alexander will open at 9am tomorrow on Level 3 of Westpoint Blacktown tomorrow.

The opening celebrations includes 20 per cent off store wide and a “Golden Penny Hunt”, with the first 30 customers to find golden “Penny dogs throughout the store to win a prize.

The man behind the brand said social media comments and analysis of their online sales showed Blacktown was the right location for their 121st store.

“That confirmed to us that it’s a good place to open up because we’ve already got quite a lot of customers there,” he said.

Peter said the brand, part of the The Just Group, had maintained its popularity over the years because it listened to customers and adapted accordingly.

“My businesses has changed and adapted so much and that’s purely because of the feedback we’ve got,” he said.

Peter Alexander, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, began as a ladies pyjamas line and now offers pyjamas for the whole family.

“I have customers in their 80s and customers that are eight months old, so it’s such a broad appeal for a brand,” he said.

Peter Alexander’s new Harry Potter range is expected to be released in the coming days, a line he said fans have been “waiting patiently” for.

“There’s a lot of Harry Potter fans out there,” Peter said.
