Men on run after Bidwill stabbings, Mt Druitt chase

Police are hunting for a group of men after three people were injured in a string of stabbings across Mt Druitt at the weekend.

Mt Druitt police were called to a home in Dieffenbach Pl, Bidwill, about 5.30pm on Saturday after reports of a fight outside the home.

It is understood a fight broke out between the occupants and a group of people after two cars arrived at the property.

A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and a 24-year-old man was hospitalised with stab wounds. They remain in a serious but stable condition.

Shortly after, a 17-year-old boy was arrested after police after being pulled over by a Magna sedan on Luxford Rd, Mt Druitt.

It is alleged the boy was aggressive and threw punches at officers before being taken to Riverstone Police Station.

At 11.30pm, emergency services were called to a block of units on Kidd Cl, Bidwill, after reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers found a 15-year-old boy with stab wounds. He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police were told a fight broke out at the unit between a 15-year-old and a group after a car arrived at the property.

A short time later, police became involved in a chase with a Ford Falcon, believed to be linked to the Bidwill incident, after it was pulled over on Bougainville Road, Lethbridge Park, and then fled.

The car stopped on Semaphore Crescent at Ropes Crossing where three men fled on foot.

The men remain on the run, despite the efforts of PolAir, the dog unit and the riot squad to locate them.

Police are appealing to the public to locate three males described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance.
