Construction on a new hotel and brewery at Marsden Park is ahead of schedule, with the venue due to open early next year.
The Marsden’s “topping out” ceremony — marking construction of the highest point of the building — was held last Friday.
The $45 million project by Laundy Hotels, which runs numerous hospitality venues across the state including the Plumpton Hotel in Glendenning and Heritage Hotel in Wilberforce, is due to open in February.
The two-level 5900 sqm pub at Sydney Business Park will include a brewery, bistro, gaming room, children’s playground, outdoor sports lounge and a conference and function centre, which can hold up to 400 guests.
Laundy Hotels managing director Arthur Laundy said construction and fit out company FDC had “worked tremendously well to be months ahead of schedule” to mark the topping out of the site.
Mr Laundy said he was attracted to Marsden Park because he could see “the area developing rapidly”.
He met with the owners of Sydney Business Park and “we clicked and away we went”.
Sydney Business Park project director Owen Walsh said The Marsden was a “welcome addition to Sydney Business Park”.
“The new brewery and hotel provides new much-needed amenity to the employees of Sydney Business Park and surrounding communities of the growth centre,” he said.
