A 35-year old man has been charged with mid-range drink driving after allegedly crashing into a parked truck in Greenacre overnight.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were called to the intersection of Roberts Rd and Pelman Ave, Greenacre, just after midnight following reports a Kia Sorento had crashed into an Isuzu D-Max truck.

When police arrived on scene they spoke to the driver of the Kia, a 35-year old man, and conducted a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

The man was taken to Bankstown Police Station for a breath analysis which allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.105.

The 35-year old was issued an immediate licence suspension notice and will face a mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol charge at Bankstown Local Court next month.
