Lethbridge Park man Zack Kearins charged with allegedly supplying 31g of cocaine

A western Sydney man has faced court after he was allegedly busted by police with more than 31g of cocaine, steroids, and weapons.

A man who allegedly supplied 31g of cocaine, as well as being accused of possessing steroids, a knife and wielding a steel baseball bat in public, has faced court.

Zack Matthews Kearins, 23, of Letherbridge Park, appeared at Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday charged with drug supply, wielding an offensive weapon in public, and possessing a knife and steroids.

About 3.30pm on December 22, Kearins is alleged to have been found at a property on Marina Cres in Letherbridge Park with 39 steroid tablets, court documents state.

The controlled drug is used to treat hereditary angioedema - a rare genetic disorder - but can also be used for muscle growth.

At the same time, Kearins is alleged to have also been in possession of both a knife and an offensive weapon, being a steel softball baseball bat, which police allege was being wielded in public.

Kearins’ lawyer told Magistrate George Breton the 32-year-old was expected to plead guilty to all charges next month, and requested an adjournment amid negotiations with police over agreed facts.

The agreed police facts were expected to be amended, according to Kearins’ lawyer, with new charges to be laid before the next court appearance.

Kearins will reappear before Mt Druitt Local Court for sentencing on March 27.
