Parramatta police started an investigation into an incident involving Senior Constable Phillipson and a 24-year-old woman on September 6 about midnight.

Sen-Constable Phillipson, who works for a specialist command in the northwest metropolitan region, was issued a court attendance notice for common assault (domestic violence).

She was ordered to front Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday but was excused from attending.

The court heard the matter would go to the Director of Public Prosecutions and was adjourned to December 8.

The duty status is currently under review.
