A former high-ranking bikie has landed behind bars again just months after being released from jail.
Jamie Saliba, 31, is facing a domestic violence charge over an alleged assault on a woman in western Sydney this month.
Police allege the former Rebels bikie assaulted a woman in St Marys on May 2, causing her actual bodily harm.
He was arrested later that morning and taken to Penrith Police Station.
Saliba faced Penrith Local Court on Wednesday after being refused bail.
During a brief court appearance, it was heard Saliba was serving parole at the time of the alleged offence and his parole had been revoked.
Saliba was sentenced to three years’ jail with a non-parole period of 18 months last July after leading police on a reckless chase on his Harley Davidson motorcycle through Dean Park and Glendenning in March 2019.
The former Schofields resident and Penrith City Rebels member pleaded guilty to a string of charges, including failing to stop and driving recklessly (police pursuit), possessing an unauthorised pistol and possessing a pistol in contravention of a firearms prohibition order.
He was eligible for release in October last year.
He is yet to enter a plea for the fresh charge and will face court again at a later date.
