A popular rapper is one of four men charged over the stabbing of a schoolboy during a violent brawl at a western Sydney train station.
The Blacktown Advocate can reveal Engu ‘Justice’ Tavai, 21, of Blacktown, also known by the moniker ‘Hooligan Skinny’ faces a string of charges over the altercation, which left a 14-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds.
Tavai faced Blacktown Local Court on Thursday with friend and co-accused Tyrelle Xavier Maui, 22, of Colebee.
Police allege the men, along with Siale Schaaf, 18, and Isaiah Torrisi, 22, took part in the brawl, which erupted at Doonside station, just after 3pm on November 6.
Tuvai is one of several members of the ‘Hooligans’ and ‘67’ groups from Doonside, which includes rapper Hooligan Hefs.
Footage uploaded to TikTok showed Tuvai being released on bail from Silverwater jail last December.
Officers were called to the scene after receiving reports of a group of males fighting in the street.
By the time they arrived, the group had fled and the injured boy was treated at the scene for stab wounds to his neck, arms and abdomen.
Tuvai, Maui, Schaaf and Torrisi were arrested a short time later after being pulled over in a car on Oakhill Cres in Colebee.
According to police documents, police allege the men used a knife to assault the boy during the brawl.
The men were initially refused bail but have since been released.
They face charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence and affray.
The men will face court again in April.
