Hardi Aged Care have submitted plans for an expanded residential centre in Seven Hills, which would see the demolition of several properties.
Hardi has handed in a development application for a new $39 million two-storey facility next to the centre it already operates on Crews Rd, which is home to more than 100 residents.
The facility would front Solander Rd and hold 126 rooms with basement parking for 39 cars.
It would also feature administrative offices, a laundry, kitchen, staff areas, plant room and waste handling facilities, while a clinic, physio and hair and nail salon would be located on the ground floor.
The plan would see at least eight properties demolished across Solander and Crews roads.
Stage two of the development would see the demolition redevelopment of the existing centre at Seven Hills. Further details of stage two are currently undecided.
In documents tendered to Blacktown Council, Hardi said population projection data showed the region would need greater access to aged care services in the near future.
It is predicted that there will be an extra 37,976 people over the age of 60 living in the Blacktown local government area by 2036, including more than 26,000 aged 70 and over.
