A western Sydney man has faced court over allegations he indecently assaulted another male more than 40 years ago.
Gregory James Foster, 59, of Blacktown, faced court for the first time in September after a complaint was made to police.
Mr Foster was arrested and charged with three counts of indecent assault on a male and one count of committing an indecent act with a male.
Police will allege in court that Mr Foster indecently assaulted the complainant, who can’t be named for legal reasons, several times in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The courts have not released any further details about Mr Foster’s alleged offending.
A DPP prosecutor requested an adjournment for time to prepare a charge certificate before Magistrate Geoff Hiatt on Penrith Local Court on Friday.
The court heard a conference was required between the officer in charge of the matter and the complainant before an official case conference could be held between the defence and prosecution.
Magistrate Hiatt also heard some considerations would have to be made for a potential trial in the District Court.
Mr Foster’s matter was adjourned to February 19 when he will be excused from attending court in person.
