Doonside: Garbo charged after woman hit and killed
Police have charged a garbage truck driver after a woman in her 60s was hit and killed on Tuesday.

A garbage truck driver has been charged after a woman died after she was allegedly struck in Doonside yesterday.
Police said the woman, 61, was walking along Crawford Rd near Power St at about 7am on Tuesday when she was hit.
The woman suffered critical injuries and sadly died at the scene.
Emergency crews were at the scene on Tuesday morning and the road was closed to traffic for several hours.
A crime scene was set up and the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man, was not hurt and was taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.
He was later taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, driving in a dangerous manner, negligent driving occasioning death and not keep left of the dividing line
He was granted bail to face Blacktown Local Court on April 7.
