Strict measures have been put in place across western Sydney hospitals, including limiting the number of visitors to one per patient, as part of a coronavirus precaution.
Western Sydney Local Health District chief executive officer Graeme Loy issued a statement that also stated children under 12 were not to be brought to hospitals — Auburn, Blacktown and Westmead — at all.
This includes Westmead, Blacktown and Mt Druitt hospitals.
“To help us protect you, our patients and our staff we are trying to limit visitors to our hospitals,’’ the statement said.
“If you are unwell with fever or cough or flu symptoms or if you have travelled overseas in the last 14 days, please do not enter this hospital.’’
