Raptor cops have charged a man with three outstanding warrants after seizing two firearms, weapons and prohibited drugs at a home in Sydney’s west.
In January this year, officers attached to the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad commenced an investigation into the activities of a criminal syndicate involved in the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney.
Following inquiries, Raptor Squad, with assistance from the Tactical Operations Unit, executed a search warrant at a home at Bossley Park on February 25.
During the search, officers allegedly located cocaine, ice, cannabis, MDMA, steroids and prescription medication.
Police also allegedly located two ballistic vests, an electronic stun device, fireworks, electronic devices and chemicals.
In a search of the backyard and granny flat, police also allegedly located a 9mm Beretta handgun, .22 revolver, ammunition and $3,250 cash.
Police allege driver’s licence holograms, suspected to have been stolen, were also found during the raid.
All items seized during the investigation have been taken for further forensic examination.
Subsequently, officers commenced inquiries to locate a 26-year-old Jean-Paul Issa, who was wanted on outstanding warrants.
Following investigations, Raptor Squad arrested the man at a home at Seven Hills about 5pm on Wednesday.
He was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with three outstanding warrants and 19 additional offences including, possessing an unauthorised pistol, not keeping a firearm safely, possessing ammunition without a licence, having suspected stolen goods, dealing with property proceeds of crime, supplying a prohibited drug and possessing, supplying or making an explosive.
Issa was refused bail and faced Blacktown Local Court on Thursday.
He did not apply for bail and will face Parramatta Local Court next week.
