A man has died after his car smashed into a tree in Sydney’s west overnight, with a residential street closed as police investigate.

A man has been killed overnight in Sydney’s west, where his car smashed into a tree.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Walters Rd, Blacktown, about 4.30am on Thursday, but the driver, a man in his 20s, died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Blacktown police have established a crime scene in the area as they investigate the circumstances of the crash.
Walters Rd was blocked in both directions between Bungarribee Rd and Douglas Rd, but has now reopened.
