The court heard Nohra met the teenage girl on Snapchat before meeting in person, with the girl giving sexual favours in exchange for money and gifts.
Magistrate Fiona McCarron said the police case relies on Snapchat conversations, most of which no longer exist, and CCTV vision allegedly depicting Nohra travelling through a McDonalds drive thru with the allleged victim in the passenger seat.
The court heard Nohra allegedly threatened the teenage girl when she began seeing another person saying: “I am going to come to your house tonight and force you to give head on camera”.
He also threatened to kill himself and said: “if I die my boys will come to your house and come for you”.
Mr Coyne told the court Nohra was “somewhat immature and introverted” and would struggle if remanded in custody, with his father and sister willing to provide a $10,000 bail surety.
However, Magistrate McCarron said the allegations showed “clear grooming and predatory behaviour” and refused bail.
A spokeswoman for Tara Anglican School for Girls, declined to comment on the matter as it was before the court.
However, shortly after an email was sent by principal Susan Middlebrook to the school community revealing a “non-teaching staff member” had been charged.
“Tara takes its child protection responsibilities very seriously and will cooperate with police and statutory authorities as required,” Ms Middlebrook said.
“Tara has comprehensive child protection policies and provides regular child protection training to staff. To date, Tara has not been contacted by NSW Police and the staff member is not onsite.
“News of this is very distressing for everyone and I would ask that you uphold our community in prayer at this time.”
Nohra’s matter will next return to Blacktown Local Court in June.
