A “kind-hearted and loving” man has been identified as the 21-year-old man who died in a motorcycle crash at Acacia Gardens just after 9pm on Tuesday night.

Andrew ‘Anaru’ Tereora was returning home from a gym session with his cousins when the fatal accident took place on the intersection of Sunnyholt Road and Quakers Hill Parkway.

He was treated on scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition. He died shortly after.

Lisa Popata, a family member of Mr Tereora, has set up a GoFundMe to help the family cover funeral and travel expenses.

“Our boy was the most funniest, kind hearted, loving person you would have ever met. His smile lit up any room he walked into, one you will never forget,” Ms Popata said.

“Anaru leaves behind a deeply grieving mum, dad, grandparents, brothers, sister, nieces and nephews who are desperately wanting him home.

“We are asking for your kindness and gratitude if you are able to please donate to his fundraiser to help cover for funeral expenses and flights back to New Zealand.

“His loving soul will be deeply missed.”

Blacktown Rugby Union Football Club paid tribute to Andrew on Facebook.

“When you join the Warriors you become part of the family and it is with the heaviest of hearts that our family has lost one of our youngest of brothers – Colt's player, Anaru (Andrew) Tereora,” the post stated.

“We extend our arms of love to our brother Dennis and all of Anaru's family. Our hearts are heavy and we pray for you all. We are here and all of our thoughts are with you in such a tragic time.”

Club secretary Jonno Louwrens said in his donation on the GoFundMe page that Mr Tereora’s “energy and exuberance for life was obvious to everyone who met him”.

More than $6000 has been raised so far.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are continuing, with police appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
