Homicide Squad detectives charged a 58-year-old man with murder on Friday after he was arrested at Stuart Town.

The men, who were allegedly members of a rival criminal group, were refused bail in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

Mr Hayes made a brief appearance in Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Defence lawyer Anne Hazelton said Mr Hayes intended to apply for bail and the case was adjourned to Friday.

No pleas were entered.

Homicide Squad Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Walpole said more arrests were expected to be made.

“Those people we believe are involved, I suggest they might want to come and see us before we come and see them,” Detective Walpole said.

“If they’d like to hand themselves in to police we’ll certainly accommodate them but they should certainly be having some sleepless nights at the moment.

“The investigation is ongoing and we’re dealing with a lot of information.”
