The candidates vying for the votes of the Macarthur region at the federal election on May 18 have been announced.
Seven candidates have put forward their names in both Macarthur and Hume while six will contest the seat of Werriwa.
The seat of Macarthur is held by a two candidate preferred margin of 8.3 per cent by popular Labor MP Dr Mike Freelander.
Dr Freelander faces challenges from state election candidates Riley Munro (Liberal), Jayden Rivera (Greens), Matt Stellino (Animal Justice Party) and James Gent (Christian Democratic Party).
Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party will also contest the seat with candidate Shane Norman while Nathan Murphy will stand for the United Australia Party.
Hume, which takes in the Wollondilly and half of the Camden LGA is held by Energy Minister Angus Taylor by a margin of 10.2 per cent of the two candidate preferred result.
Labor’s Aiofe Champion is listed first on the Hume ballot while Lynda Abdo (United Australia Party) David Powell (Greens) and Ian Nebauer (Christian Democratic Party) will also contest.
Environmental advocate and global adventurer Huw Kingston will stand as an independent. Fraser Anning’s Conservative National Party will be represented by Tanya Hargraves.
Labor’s Anne Stanley also holds Werriwa with an 8.2 per cent margin.

For those looking to avoid the hustle and bustle of election day, early voting begins Monday.
In Hume, pre-polling is open at the Camden Civic Centre while in Macarthur, people can vote at the Campbelltown Civic Centre, Ingleburn Community Centre, Oran Park Community Centre or Camden Civic Centre.
Werriwa voters can vote early at the Campbelltown Civic Centre or Ingleburn Community Centre.
