Seven bodies have been found on the property of a convicted rapist in the search for two missing teen girls, in the US state of Oklahoma.
Authorities said they believe the teenagers they were looking for, Ivy Webster, 14, and Brittany Brewer, 16, were among the dead.
The corpse of Jesse McFadden, a felon and registered sex offender who police said the girls were travelling with, was also found on his property, in the city of Henryetta.
“We believe to have found everything that we were seeking this morning,” Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice said, adding that the case was being investigated as a homicide.
The state highway patrol had issued a missing persons notice earlier Monday saying the two missing girls were last seen at 1.22am local time in Henryetta and were both possibly travelling in a white Chevrolet Avalanche with McFadden, 39.
McFadden, who has a prior rape conviction, was due to stand trial on charges of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor and possession of child pornography on the day the seven bodies were found at his property.
Hours earlier, McFadden was allegedly texting the victim in that case.
The victim described the alleged messages to FOX23.
McFadden allegedly wrote: “I did exactly what I promised I would do when I got out I got a marketing job making great money and was being advanced been there 2 years now and made a great life like I promised I would do with you.”
“Now it’s all gone.
“I told you I wouldn’t go back.
“This is all on you for continuing this.”
A warrant for his arrest was issued after McFadden failed to appear in court on Monday morning.
Janette Mayo identified her daughter – who was married to the convicted rapist at the centre of the twisted case – and three grandchildren as the other slain victims found at the property, in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
“All the posts on Facebook and the new talk about 7 bodies found and mention Ivy and Brittany but no mention of the other four found,” she wrote.
“Those other 4 were my daughter Holly Guess, and her children, Rylee Elizabeth Allen, Michael James Mayo and, Tiffany Dore Guess. My heart does go out to Ivys and Brittany’s families, but they were not his only victims.
“My daughter loved her children and yes she married the man who killed them but she was fooled by his charm. I hurt just like the other families but he took my world from me. My grandchildren and my daughter. I have a hole in my heart that he created by his actions Jesse McFadden was a monster for his actions.
“I would love to talk to the media and tell my side of it. I loved Ivy she was a sweet girl, I really didn’t know Brittany but she must have been a sweet girl for my Tiffany to care for her. My prayers are there for both of the other families. I just ask that people remember my family as well, and that they had names too.”
