'This will be huge': Jeffrey Epstein's associates to be exposed

The former boss of a big British bank was sent pictures of young women by the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and the pair discussed Disney princesses, according to court documents revealed in the US.

According to a report in the Times, 66-year-old Jes Staley is accused by the US Virgin Islands, in a lawsuit against his former employer JP Morgan, of emailing Epstein in July 2010, saying: “That was fun. Say hi to Snow White.”

Epstein, a convicted sex offender, is alleged to have replied: “[W] hat character would you like next?”. Mr Staley is said to have responded: “Beauty and the Beast.”

American Staley worked at JP Morgan before taking charge of Barclays bank in 2015. JP Morgan had counted Epstein, who took his own life in 2019, as a client.

In new court filings in the US, the US Virgin Islands further alleged that “Epstein also emailed Mr Staley photos of young women in seductive poses”.

It has been alleged that between 2008 and 2012 Epstein and Mr Staley exchanged more than 1000 messages, which were sent to the latter’s email account at JP Morgan.

A lawyer for Mr Staley declined to comment, reported The Times.

It has been alleged that JP Morgan handled payments by Epstein to at least 20 young women and girls who were sex trafficked and sexually assaulted.

Mr Staley’s appointment to lead Barclays thrust him into the top tier of Britain’s financial industry.

His past dealings with Epstein were laid bare when it emerged in February 2020 that the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority were investigating his links to the paedophile.

Mr Staley then shocked the banking industry by suddenly stepping down as the boss of Barclays at the end of October 2021 to contest the findings of the watchdogs’ inquiry.

The findings have not yet been disclosed because the regulatory proceedings are ongoing.
