Queen Mary has a full castle on her hands with all four of the Australian born royal’s children home for Christmas.
The Tasmanian born Queen has shared intimate family photos as her beautiful family gathers to celebrate the festive season.
It is the first time Mary and her husband King Frederik have had the whole brood under one roof for some time as their eldest son Crown Prince Christian, 19, has been away in East Africa on his gap year.
The King’s mother Queen Margrethe, 84, joined festivities along with Princess Isabella, 17, and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine who will turn 14 in January.
“From Marselisborg Castle, where the royal family is now gathered, we wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas,” Mary and Frederik captioned the happy snaps on their official Instagram account.
The Danish royals will spend the festive season at the castle in Aarhus which is located on the eastern coast of Denmark’s Jutland peninsula.
The photos came after Queen Mary, 52, revealed her greatest wish this Christmas – a world free from domestic violence.
The Queen shared her bold vision for a world where women and children were free from fear in conjunction with her charity Her Majesty’s Queen Mary Foundation.
“If family life is characterised by violent relationships, it can be difficult to give children the safe start in life that they deserve, and victims of violence can feel alone and cut off from both their loved ones and the outside world,” Mary wrote.
“That is why the fight against violence in the family is a high priority area in the Mary Foundation.
“Unfortunately, there is still a long way to go before healthy and trusting communities are a natural part of everyone’s everyday life.
“So we fight on. But fortunately we are not fighting alone.”
The Tasmanian born Mary exuded confidence and style in a dazzling new photo in front of a Christmas tree which she shared alongside the post, which was originally published in Danish, to the official royal Instagram account.
She also spoke of the foundation’s work raising awareness about the “many faces of loneliness among young people.”
“Unfortunately, we don’t have any easy answers when it comes to loneliness, but a greater insight into loneliness is an important step,” Queen Mary wrote.
The Danish foundation donated $50,000 to Australia’s own Alannah and Madeline Foundation in 2022 to support its anti bullying campaign.
December has been a busy month for Queen Mary and her husband Crown Prince Frederik who she famously met in a pub at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
The royals hosted a gala dinner at their palace in Copenhagen in honour of the visiting President of Egypt on December 6.
On December 17 she donned a festive jumper and helped prepare meals for people in need at the WeShelter Food Club Event.
