Meghan Markle ‘shouted’ at Australian staffer as the Sussexes Netflix show ‘contradicts’ Duke’s memoir

Meghan Markle “shouted” at an Australian-born palace staffer, a royal author claims, as insiders reveal the Sussexes’ Netflix show contradicts Harry’s memoir.

Meghan Markle “shouted” at a former Australian staffer who she and Prince Harry ”treated harshly”, it has been claimed.

Royal author Valentine Low has made bombshell claims that Prince Harry’s former aide said dealing with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was like “dealing with teenagers”.

Speaking to Palace Confidential, the author, who penned Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, claimed that highly-regarded courtier Samantha Cohen, was treated “harshly” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before they left the royal family and relocated to the US.

“When she started, Harry knew her well, and liked her and she liked Harry. Sam is an incredible problem solver, she’s a can-do personality and she just found it really difficult,” he said.

“She was asked to do things that a private secretary wouldn’t normally be asked to do and I think she was treated harshly.

“She was shouted at by Meghan … she was said to have said that dealing with them was like dealing with a couple of teenagers.”

“Problems started before the wedding about all sorts of things,’ he said.

“The choir, the food.’

Mr Low also revealed the “crushing: phrase that the Duchess used to one of her team in the lead up to the wedding.

“The palace would put out details about the cake, the dress, whatever, to keep the media happy.”

He said that Markle wasn’t happy with the arrangement, and alternative plans were drummed up.

‘There was some poor woman presenting an alternative plan and Meghan was really unhappy with the alternative plan,” Mr Low said.

The Sussexes will be speaking about the royal family.

He then claimed that the Duchess told the aide: “Believe me if there was anybody else I could get to do this, I would.”

One ex-staff member told the author: “She wanted to be rejected, because she was obsessed with that narrative from day one.

“Everyone knew that the institution would be judged by her happiness. The mistake they made was thinking that she wanted to be happy,” another source said.

HARRY ‘CONTRADICTED’ IN NEW SHOW

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of “contradicting” their own stories in their highly anticipated Netflix docuseries.

Sources told Page Six that the streaming giant and the series’ filmmakers were confused by some of the comments that the Duke of Sussex makes in his upcoming book being at odds with what he and his wife said on camera.

Netflix, which will stream the couple’s docuseries in early December, is said to have a problem with discrepancies between what the couple says on camera and what is in the manuscript for Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir.

“A lot in the show contradicted what Harry has written, so that was an issue,” one industry source revealed to Page Six.

“Then Harry and Meghan made significant requests [to filmmakers] to walk back content they themselves have provided, for their own project.”

It was previously revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to hold the show until next year as they continue to edit, but Netflix chiefs insisted it stream after the fifth season of “The Crown,” which launches November 5.

The Sussexes will be speaking about the royal family.

The Sussexes — who have been filming for more than a year with Brooklyn director Liz Garbus — are believed to have talked a lot on camera about the royal family, including Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, as well as King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, and reportedly wanted to edit some of it out now.

“Netflix needs a couple of months to do all of the formatting and dubbing, subtitling and audio — all of that stuff that enables it to launch on the platform,” a Netflix source told Page Six.
