Prince Andrew claims sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre was trafficking underage girls

A former boyfriend of Virginia Roberts Giuffre and Prince Andrew’s lawyers have made a new claim in court documents.

Prince Andrew’s lawyers have made the startling claim that the woman suing him for allegedly raping her when she was a teenager was actually a sex trafficker tasked with procuring girls for pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of York’s legal team made the accusation against accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre in a motion to dismiss her Manhattan federal court suit against him.

According to Page Six, in a section of the legal filing, Andrew, 61, alleged Giuffre, 38, was “involved the willful recruitment and trafficking of young girls for sexual abuse,” by the financier, who killed himself in a Manhattan jail before he could be tried for assaulting underaged girls.

“She was like the head b—h. She’d have like nine or 10 girls she used to bring to him. She never looked like she was being held captive,” Philip Guderyon, a former boyfriend of Giuffre’s, was quoted as saying in the court document.

Crystal Figueroa, whose brother also dated Giuffre, said the accuser asked her for help finding victims for Epstein, according to the court filing.

“She [Giuffre] would say to me, ‘Do you know any girls who are kind of slutty?,’” lawyers alleged Figueroa said.

Giuffre has alleged she was recruited into Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation in 2000 by Ghislaine Maxwell, who is accused of procuring women and underage girls for the billionaire, and is awaiting trial in Manhattan federal court.

Giuffre claims Andrew sexually assaulted her three times — including once in Manhattan — at the behest of Epstein, charges the disgraced royal has denied.

The prince’s latest offensive accused her of fabricating the charges for a “payday,” while also referencing Giuffre’s 2009 agreement with Epstein, which lawyers said should block any legal action she could take against Andrew.

It comes as Prince Andrew has insisted his accuser is out to profit from a “baseless lawsuit” against him, and he has asked a New York court to dismiss the case.

His lawyers did so, requesting that the lawsuit be dismissed “for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted.”

The Duke of York’s legal team responded to allegations made by Ms Giuffre that he abused her on multiple occasions when she was 17.

In a filing with the US district court in Manhattan, he said the case should be dismissed because Ms Giuffre failed to state a claim warranting relief.

If a dismissal was not granted, he said Ms Giuffre should provide a “more definitive statement” of her allegations.

The defence team’s motion to dismiss the civil lawsuit comes after Judge Kaplan this week ruled a settlement between Ms Giuffre and Jeffrey Epstein could remain sealed.

Mr Brettler told the court that he wanted to include the agreement under seal in his written argument.

He said the deal between Ms Giuffre and Mr Epstein “releases Prince Andrew and others from any purported liability arising from the claims Ms Giuffre asserted against Prince Andrew here”.

The settlement, dating back to 2009, was sealed under a protective order by a different judge, Loretta Preska.

Judge Kaplan said in his order that it could remain sealed unless Ms Preska decided otherwise, adding that she might “favour an application” to allow its public disclosure.

Ms Giuffre’s legal team has indicated they would fight any move to dismiss the lawsuit based on the agreement with Mr Epstein.

“There is no evidence from any of the parties to the release, or Prince Andrew, that the release was ever intended to include Prince Andrew, and we believe the evidence will be that it wasn’t,” lawyer David Boies wrote in a court filing.

Prince Andrew has remained largely silent on the claims following a November 2019 interview on the BBC’s Newsnight.

He categorically denied he had sex with Ms Giuffre, then known as Virginia Roberts, after a night out in 2001, and said he was at the restaurant Pizza Express with his daughter Princess Beatrice.

The next hearing will be held in New York on November 3.
