The heartbroken girlfriend of one of the Perth brothers shot dead execution-style in Mexico has shared his tragic final voicemail.
In a devastating Instagram post, Emily Horwath revealed the final message she revealed from Callum Robinson.
“Will be playing this on repeat,” she wrote in the caption that accompanied the tragic audio of Callum’s voice.
Callum, 33, his younger brother Jake, 30, and their American friend, Jack Carter Rhoad, 30, were gunned down in Mexico’s Baja California region while on a surfing trip in what authorities believe was a bungled robbery.
In the message, Callum said, “Happy Tuesday, good morning! It’s 11.11 and I’m just thinking about you. Just wanted to drop you a quick message and say, hello baby, hope you’re having a phenomenal start to your day. I’m sensing a big grin on your face for some reason today. I hope you’re full of positivity and smiles. Cheers baby, miss you.
AMERICAN VICTIM WAS DUE TO GET MARRIED
Earlier the devastated friends of Jack Carter Rhoad, who was on the surfing trip with the Aussie brothers, revealed the he American just weeks away from getting married.
Mr Rhoad, from San Diego, had joined the brothers for a post-Coachella road trip in the lead-up to his wedding in August to Natalie Wiertz.
The 30-year-old recruitment worker had visited Mexico frequently throughout his adult life after volunteering for a medical mission in Guatemala at the age of 19.
He announced the pair’s engagement in a July 2023 Facebook post, with images showing how he proposed on a beach at sunset.
One of Ms Wiertz’s friends, Aubrey Byers, has set up an appeal following the tragedy.
“We’ve created this GoFundMe page to rally support for Natalie during this unimaginably difficult time and provide essentials such as housing, food, transportation, and more,” she posted.
“Our hearts ache with grief for their families, friends, and community. Their presence brought immeasurable joy, love, and kindness to those around them, leaving a mark on our lives.”
Earlier, the girlfriend of Callum Robinson, 33, who was killed alongside his brother Jake, 30, and Mr Rhoad during a bungled robbery, shared a heartfelt message saying she will “love you forever”.
“My heart is shattered into a million pieces. I don’t have the words right now,” Emily Horwath wrote in a post on Instagram, followed by a broken love heart emoji.
“You are one of one. I will love you forever,” she said of Callum.
“Truly one of the most beautiful and loving souls. There aren’t words. We love you so much.”
In a series of posts to her Instagram Stories, Ms Horwath shared happy snaps of the couple as well as videos of the pair enjoying themselves.
“One of the million things I loved about Callum was how he treated my best friends as he own. Jenna was out permanent third wheel, and he always made her feel special,” Ms Horwath said.
“This world lost one of its kindest, silliest and most genuine of souls this week. Rest easy.
“I miss you.”
Baja California state prosecutors said Callum and Jake’s Perth-based parents visited the morgue in Ensenada, Mexico, to identify their sons’ bodies.
Mexican authorities said thieves killed the Robinsons and their friend in order to steal their truck’s tyres.
Their bodies were located down a 15-metre deep well near the campsite where they were staying.
