BRITISH police are hunting a Wolverine-obsessed man with knives and blades, suspected of stabbing his six-year-old half-sister, his mother and her boyfriend to death.
Jed Allen, 21, had posted threatening images to his Instagram account, including photos of large knives and images of himself holding an axe and Wolverine-style blades, before he went missing.
Philip Howard, 44, Jan Jordon, 48, and her six-year-old daughter Derin were found dead in Didcot, Oxfordshire yesterday The Mirror reports.
In one picture on Instagram, Allen glares menacingly into the camera while wielding a huge, sharp axe.
Another picture of the same weapon has the caption: “You call that a knife?” – thought to be a reference to Australian movie Crocodile Dundee, while in another he brandishes a large hunting knife with the caption “today’s purchases”.
Allen is known to police and reportedly had a troubled childhood.
Other posts reveal his obsession with the X-Men character Wolverine, who he imitates in one photo by posing with blades between his fingers in a makeshift version of the Marvel hero’s razor claws.
A member of the public raised the alarm when they found the bloodied bodies, covered in stab wounds. Post-mortems will be carried out today.
Members of the public have been urged not to approach Mr Allen and call police immediately if they see him.

Officer leading the hunt, Detective Superintendent Chris Ward, said: “We believe that Jed Allen is related to the victims and that this was a domestic incident. Jed is white, about 6ft, of stocky build, and has a distinctive tattoo of a spider on his left hand.”
Tributes, flowers and soft toys had been left at the house where the bodies were found.
One note described the pain of hearing about the tragedy.
“I always said you were too kind for this world ... My heart is broken and will never be the same again,” the note said.
“You all have left a massive void in my heart which will never be filled.”
Armed police are now searching Oxford University Parks, where Mr Allen used to work as a groundsman, amid fears he could be hiding there.
Officers in riot gear with dog squads were combing the area, broadcaster ITV reported.
Forensic teams are still at the scene of the murders.
