THREE French students have been accused of using acid to dissolve the body of a student they allegedly murdered.

In a Breaking Bad inspired scenario, the students allegedly placed the body of Eva Bourseau, a 23-year-old art history student in a plastic container, then filled it with acid.

Officers believe Ms Bourseau’s mistake was to get involved with drug dealers — who decided to murder her when she failed to pay a drugs debt worth nearly $9000, reports the Independent.

Her body was almost completely disintegrated after being left in acid in the plastic truck for 10 days.

And in a shocking twist, one of the three students, aged between 19 and 23, arrested for the crime has told prosecutors the method of getting rid of the body was inspired by the hit show Breaking Bad.

The series depicts a drug-making high school chemistry teacher. In one scene, the characters are told to dispose of a body in a plastic container filled with acid, as a metal container will break down. The murder accused are alleged to have purchased a plastic container to dissolve Eva’s body — a fact they learned from the popular TV show.

French media outlets have reported Ms Bourseau was killed by a blow to the head with a crowbar and knuckledusters after she told them she couldn’t pay back the her debt.

Once she was dead, she was lowered into the acid and her body slowly began to dissolve. Prosecution sources said the accused used air refresher to mask the putrid smell of her skin disintegrating, according to the Telegraph.

They are said to have returned to the apartment several times to check the body was dissolving. She was eventually found by her mother who was worried she hadn’t heard from her in a fortnight.

Investigations into the killing are continuing but it is believed one of the three is being treated as an accomplice while the other two considered lead offenders, and will face the French equivalent of a murder charge.

Pierre Alfort, the lawyer for one of the suspects, who is an engineering student, told the Telegraph his client “went wrong when he got involved in the party scene and local night-life.”
