THE first images have emerged of the hotel the Paris terrorists used before carrying out their deadly mission — and they may have binged on drugs, pizza and chocolate.
Video obtained by French magazine Le Point purportedly shows the inside of two rooms rented by the suspect Salah Abdeslam in the two nights before the terror attacks, which were the worst violence France has experienced since World War Two.
According to the BBC, the video shows syringes lying on a coffee table as well as a set of short needles and plastic tubing at the Appart’City Alfortville, in eastern Paris
It has been speculated the terrorists may have drugged themselves up before they carried out their deadly rampage.
Also seen on the video, amid piles of rubbish, were pizza boxes and chocolate purchased from a hotel vending machine.
Abdeslam, 26, is thought to have played a key role in the attacks and has become one of the worlds most wanted men.
A source told Le Point the booking “allowed them to use rooms 311 and 312 of the hotel in Alfortville.”
He used his credit card to pay for the rooms and at least two of the attackers are thought to have stayed there.
The hotel’s computer desk from reception has been seized, possibly to test for fingerprints, but the hotel doesn’t have CCTV installed.
It’s understood some forensic material has been obtained from inside the rooms.
Police have linked his brother Ibrahim, 31, with a unit 15km away in the capital, meaning there may have been two bases used to launch the terrorist attacks from where 132 people died. CNN reported smartphones and laptops were discovered there.
Ibrahim blew himself up outside the Comptoir Voltaire cafe
