A woman is in a critical condition after being struck by a car at Eaton on Monday night.
About 8:30pm, police received reports of a female pedestrian running across Bagot Rd near Totem Rd in Eaton.
NT Police allege the woman paused in the median strip, making no attempt to check for traffic before running out and being struck by a vehicle.
St John Ambulance NT operations manager Craig Garraway said a passing paramedic crew carrying another patient stopped to help the woman – who was in severe pain and suffering from multiple injuries.
She was taken by a second ambulance to Royal Darwin Hospital in a critical condition, Mr Garraway said.
Police said the driver involved in the accident tested negative to drugs and alcohol.
