FOOTAGE has emerged of the moment a woman stubs a lit cigarette into a journalist’s face as her friend appears in court charged with murder.
The incident occurred this morning at Caboolture court, north of Brisbane, to Channel 9 reporter Alex Bernhardt, who was covering the appearance of a woman charged over the stabbing death of a father-of-two early yesterday.
The woman (who was a supporter of the accused) was pushing a pram and stubbed the cigarette in Bernhardt’s cheek after blowing smoke in her face.

Inside, the court heard the 26-year-old murder victim was stabbed early yesterday just 500m from his home. He staggered into a service station for help and was rushed to hospital, but he could not be saved.
The arrested woman is his former girlfriend, the Courier Mail reports.
The man’s mother, Kerry Pendergast, told the newspaper she was “shell-shocked” at her son’s death.
“He died tragically. He shouldn’t have died the way he did,” she said.
“At the end of the day, regardless of who he was and his lifestyle he shouldn’t have died.”
His sister Tahya Tivahn Pendergast spoke of her grief on social media, saying goodbye to her brother.
“I never Truly (sic) thought I would have to say goodbye to you, mum, Cj and I will forever hold you in our hearts that one day we may see you again,” she wrote on Facebook.
“Drugs are what got you here and I hope everyone who reads this, and sees this that knows of someone with a drug addiction to speak up and get themselves or someone they love out of this toxic, deadly lifestyle. Otherwise one-day it may be you morning (sic) the death of your brother, sister or anyone you love.”
