The Powerball jackpot has skyrocketed again, with Australians in the running for $100 million tonight.

After a Macedon Ranges couple had one of three winning tickets in July’s record $110 million draw, Victorians are excited about the the second richest prize in Australian lotto history.

The jackpot has jumped for the seventh straight week after no players held a division one ticket last Thursday.

But where are the state’s lotto hot spots? And what are the lucky numbers?

The Herald Sun revealed last month the Powerball statistics that could be a game-changer to picking a winner.

Lotto’s Bronwyn Spencer crunched the numbers, detailing the luckiest postcodes.

Unsurprisingly, a region in Melbourne has sold the most the most division one winning tickets.

Postcodes in the city’s north have delivered the goods, with Essendon North and Strathmore, Pascoe Vale, Mill Park, Brunswick and Preston proving to be suburbs of joy.

Business is brisk for the huge $110 Powerball jackpot.

But if you live outside the capital, Central Highlands and Goldfields have proven lucky for some.

Four division one tickets have been sold in those regions, with Eaglehawk, Ballarat, Wendouree, and Gisborne, last week, the home to one winner each.

Statistics are also out on the most frequently-drawn numbers during the past 15 months.

From the main barrel, 17 and 2 have been the numbers most likely to be called.

On the other end of the scale, the numbers less likely to be drawn are 12 and 1.

From the separate Powerball barrel, the more frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 3 and 19.

But much like the main barrel, 1 has been completely on the nose and has not come up at all in the period starting from April 1 last year.

Tabcorp also revealed that seven Victorians have claimed the top prize after purchasing a 50-game QuickPick — the most from any type of ticket.
