An underworld social media figure who has made rivals fire up over Melbourne’s raging tobacco war has now sensationally said he wants to go “fist to fist” with an exiled crime lord.

That’s the question inflammatory Melbourne underworld blogger Ryan Naumenko is posing to exiled crime lord Kazem Hamad.

Naumenko has made an online invitation to Hamad to get into the boxing square circle and sort out their differences “fist to fist”.

He says he has two trainers lined up and now only needs an opponent.

The complication is that Hamad was deported to Iraq last year after serving a long heroin-trafficking stretch and may not be of a mind to return to Melbourne any time soon.

It’s no huge gangland secret that Hamad wishes ill on Naumenko, who has been goading him via social media for some months.

Adding further spice is that Naumenko is aligned with boxer and former Mongol Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim.

If there’s anyone Hamad likes less than Naumenko, it would have to be Abdulrahim, with whom he has shared a mutual loathing stretching back years.

The animosity has only escalated in the past 18 months, amid heightened tensions linked to conflict for control of the illicit tobacco market and talk of big-money contracts on the head of Abdulrahim.

If it did go ahead, the night would need more security than a Donald Trump rally.

A multitude of big-name crime figures — some with prices on their lives — would be likely to attend in what has for some time been a most volatile underworld environment.

The Source can’t vouch for the fight prowess of either Naumenko or Hamad, though it’s likely they’d offer a better spectacle than Saturday’s Jake Paul-Mike Tyson showdown.
