A schoolgirl has been caught in the centre of a collision at Westbourne Grammar School this morning.

Police said they had been called to the scene of the teen girl being struck at the intersection of Seaford Crescent and Marquands Road just before 9am, with Ambulance Victoria confirming a patient had been transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Police said they “don’t have much yet”, but the girl was suffering “serious” injuries when taken to hospital and the investigation remains ongoing.

No arrests have been made yet, with police vehicles stationed outside the entrance of the grammar school in Melbourne’s west.

Lollipop women in high-vis were slowing traffic on the Marquands Road school entrance, with concerned adults gathered near the gates.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, with CCTV/dashcam footage or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

More to come.
