The homicide squad is investigating after a man’s body was discovered in Ringwood North.
Emergency services made the grim discovery after they were called to a Felix Crescent property about 1.35am on Wednesday.
It is understood that three people had resided in the property for a long period of time, including a pair of brothers.
Victoria Police confirmed on Wednesday night the man’s death was deemed non-suspicious.
James Fricker, who lives nearby, said the incident was out of character for the quiet suburban street.
“I’ve never known something like this so close to home before,” Mr Fricker said.
“It’s a very quiet street apart from the bus strip.”
“It’s sad, it’s very sad, it’s horrible.”
Mr Fricker said he noticed police when he woke up to take his dog for a walk.
“(I saw) the police outside the property and I thought nothing of it,” he said.
“When I came back it was absolutely crowded with people.
Mr Fricker’s wife Fane said there had been altercations at the house in the past, but to her knowledge police had never attended the property.
