FOX Footy commentators Jordan Lewis and Nick Dal Santo have returned negative tests after also taking precautions when an SEN employee tested positive for COVID-19 last week.

The pair worked in the same studio and took the subsequent safe steps along with Daisy Pearce who was also given the all clear.

Pearce withdrew from Channel 7 commentary duties on Friday night after learning about the SEN employee’s positive test.

The TV and radio commentator wasn’t deemed to be a close contact so isn’t required to isolate now.

“We applaud Daisy for her immediate communication and action, and knowing her we are not surprised,’’ said Channel 7’s managing director Lewis Martin on Friday night.

The SEN employee wasn’t an AFL identity.

An SEN spokesman said on Friday night: “The business is currently undertaking a deep clean to the potentially affected areas.

“Our absolute priority is the health and wellbeing of our staff and contractors and we are closely following all COVID-19 protocols as set by the Victorian Government.”

Pearce was due to be part of the big Collingwood-Brisbane match on Friday night but instead had to get tested and isolate after working at SEN last Sunday.

The radio station couldn’t reveal more due to privacy reasons. Lewis and Dal Santo will be part of Fox Footy’s coverage this week as the second footy frenzy continues.

“Crocmedia this afternoon confirmed that an employee had tested positive for COVID-19,’’ an SEN spokesman said.

“Those identified as ‘close contacts’ through contact tracing have been notified and WorkSafe and DHHS have also been advised.

“The business is currently undertaking a deep clean to the potentially affected areas. Our absolute priority is the health and wellbeing of our staff and contractors and we are closely following all COVID-19 protocols as set by the Victorian Government.”

Pearce, AFLW star and mum to twins Roy and Sylvie, last worked at Seven last Friday which was before she worked on SEN.

She is a highly respected special commentator and would have joined Brian Taylor, Bruce McAvaney, Luke Hodge and Wayne Carey on the coverage.
