A callous killer who was given the green light to undergo IVF treatment while behind bars has penned a disturbing poem detailing her “devotion” to the devil as she stabbed a mother of three to death.
The Sunday Herald Sun understands Alicia Schiller wrote the poem ‘Time Is Not Forever’ during an education class at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre last year.
A prison source said the 661-word piece was highly praised by the teacher.
“They ran an education program called creative writing to which each person was asked to write something about an event in their life and it was presented to the class,” they said.
“The teacher of the class found hers to be particularly interesting and gave the rest of the inmates a copy.”
In the poem, Schiller detailed the moment she stabbed her Geelong housemate Tyrelle Evertsen-Mostert in a drug-fuelled rage in 2014.
“Why that night did I take that knife,” she wrote.
“Why did I take advice from f---wits.
“Coz in the grand scheme of things they didn’t mean shit.
“I should’ve taken my own advice.
“I knew that night I should’ve thought twice.”
The convicted murderer said she had “devotion” to the devil.
“The devil looked at me and I had a glance,” she wrote.
“I drank from the potent potion.
“Then I had the devil’s devotion I made a mistake that cost my life
“I can never take back that f---ing night.”
Schiller was sentenced to 20 years in prison with a non-parole period of 16 years in 2017 after she was found guilty of murder.
While under the influence of ice, the 25-year-old jumped on Ms Evertsen-Mostert’s bed and stabbed her three times with a knife after she discovered the mum of three had taken $50 from her room to buy drugs.
Ms Evertsen-Mostert’s four-year-old son was inside the home when she was violently killed.
In her poem, Schiller said her life was ruined because of “rats”.
“Your character shred to f------ tats,” she said.
“Your whole life gone because of rats.
“I never really thought about the game.
“Until it was too late in psychosis insane.
“Set up for a knock that was their plan see.
“Got me good there was no f------ plan B.
“20 years I copped from the judge yeah.”
It comes as Schiller abandoned her plans to undergo IVF last year after huge community backlash over her bid to have a baby behind bars.
Tyrelle’s mother, Jo Evertsen-Mostert, said the decision to allow Schiller IVF was “ludicrous” and “disgusting”.
“It’s criminal that this animal could be allowed to have another child,” she said.
“This is a joke. How many more women are going to try the same?”
The revelation prompted concerns for the wellbeing of the future child who would have to be raised in jail until it was five years old.
Questions were also raised about the huge cost to taxpayers of the child’s care in prison, despite Schiller saying she would use a windfall from a property sale to pay for the treatment and the expense of being escorted to treatment sessions.
