A 12-year-old boy has died in hospital after he was struck by a car at a busy Mulgrave intersection.

A 12-year-old boy has died in hospital after a fatal collision in Mulgrave on Friday afternoon.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said it was understood a car collided with the boy at the intersection of Police Rd and Hansworth St just after 4:30pm on February 16.
“The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries,” she said.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation remains ongoing.
