A FATHER and son critically injured in an alleged knife attack in the Sydney suburb of Rouse Hill have pulled through emergency surgery and are improving.

Trevor Allen, 41, and his oldest son Trent, 20, were both placed in induced comas in a critical condition after last week’s alleged attack at the Rouse Hill shopping centre, which led to two men and one teenage boy being charged with affray and wounding with intent.

All three are yet to enter pleas.

Mr Allen’s partner, Renee, said today that Trent had finally been taken off life support at Westmead Hospital after more than three days in intensive care.

He suffered serious injuries to his lungs and liver in the alleged attack.

“Trent has been taken off life support now but Trent and Trevor were induced into comas and have sustained multiple stab wounds and have undergone hours of surgery,” she said.

“This has shattered our family. It’s a mother’s worst nightmare.”

Trent Allen suffered a single stab wound to the chest outside Rouse Hill Town Centre shopping centre last Thursday in an incident that was allegedly prearranged on Facebook.

His 41-year-old father Trevor was also stabbed in the incident.

“Trent has been taken off life support now, but both Trent and Trevor were both induced into comas and have sustained multiple stab wounds and have undergone hours of surgery,” mother Renee Rubio said in a statement, according to Nine News.

“This has shattered our family, it’s a mother’s worst nightmare.”
