Townsville’s best gym for 2025 voting open | Bully’s Best Of poll

The first of many polls to come in our revitalised ‘Bully’s Best Of’ series is here, and we want to hear from you. The poll is now open to vote for your favourite gym of 2025.

One thing about Townsville folk – they’re active.

Almost every morning The Strand is filled with runners and in the afternoon you can catch many taking the Idalia/Oonoonba track and even the Ross River/Riverway pathways.

There are so many gyms in our town that offer a range of exercise styles like HIIT, CrossFit, Boxing and women’s only classes.

The last couple of years, one in particular has stood out from the rest and even taken the crown of Townsville’s Best Gym two years in a row – the team at Strand Fitness have provided gym junkies (or dabblers) with a range of equipment and classes for years.

In 2024 they won the coveted title for a second time with general manager Donna Hartley thanking their loyal members.

“I think it’s just so amazing they stayed loyal to us over the last few years. We’ve done a lot of renovations and so they’ve been with us the whole time and have grown with us as a business,” she said.

Runner up gyms last year were F45 Training Townsville Central and Hammer Athletic - will they take over this year?

The Bully’s Best Of series has been revitalised this year, and with that there has come a slight change to the voting for Townsville’s Best Gym 2025. ALL gyms will be separated into its specific branch to ensure an equal playing field, rather than voting for the brand itself.
