Youths drive over cop’s foot in stolen car in Mount Isa
A police officer had his foot run over by a stolen ute being driven dangerously by youths.

A police officer had his foot run over by a stolen car driven by youths.
On Sunday, a black Holden Colorado was stolen from a business on Simpson St, Mount Isa, between the hours of 5pm and 11pm.
Later that night, police were parked at another business when the stolen ute pulled up beside them and kept beeping the horn at them. The stolen vehicle was then driven dangerously and at speed throughout town.
Police tried to intercept the Colorado throughout the night and were twice nearly hit.
One police officer had his foot run over when the child stopped right by him, before taking off again.
The stolen vehicle was found in Mount Isa the following morning.
Two Mount Isa boys, aged 15 and 12, were charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dealt with under the Youth Justice Act. Police investigations are ongoing.
