Young mum Emma Buddeke will step up a second time today to stand in solidarity for people who are fighting blood cancer.
Ms Buddeke cut her hair into a pixie cut in 2017 as part of the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave, raising $1500.
It was only three weeks ago the 27-year-old decided she was going to take it one step further and shave her hair to a number two.
Ms Buddeke said her decision to participate in the World’s Greatest Shave again was for a number of reasons.

“My dad had cancer and being a nurse, I have seen a lot of patients die of cancer,” she said. “I know a lot of women and some men don’t want to lose their hair because they feel ugly or self conscious.”
She will cut off her 15cm ponytail before shaving her head at The Strand Fitness at North Shore today at 10.15am.
Ms Buddeke has raised $1700 this year for the Leukaemia Foundation and said the response had been overwhelming.
“The support and random messages from strangers on Facebook and the donation page has blown me away,” she said.
“The kindness has just been ridiculous”
The mother of two said her eldest daughter and husband were proud of her.
Ms Buddeke said she vowed never to cut her hair again but her priorities had changed.
“But it’s just hair, it doesn’t define you.”
