A rescue helicopter has been tasked to retrieve a woman who fell from some rocks in difficult terrain.
The woman fell at Little Crystal Creek about 12.15pm on Saturday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the terrain had made it difficult for paramedics to get to the woman, who was in a safe spot on land.
It is understood the woman broke her arm in the fall.
The Queensland Government Air rescue helicopter winched out the woman and flew her to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
